Cyber Monday

You've heard of Black Friday shopping, but did you know tomorrow is Cyber Monday?

One article even suggests worker productivity will be affected Monday, while another article says Cyber Monday is a myth.

Info about some of the online sales and companies offering free shipping is here.

We did a little shopping at the mall before Thanksgiving, but most of my shopping is done online. I've checked a number of people off my list this weekend!

Black Friday and Cyber Monday have brought a new crassness to the holiday season...and I refuse to take the bait.

Through the very last day of November its still Thanksgiving! And really I think Jesus is satisfied to have December all to Himself because after all, it really is about Him, right?

:)

I generally leave my Thanksgiving decorations up until the end of November...although one of the children did get a jump on things and took down the Pilgrim house display from our front window and set up the Rudolph display (grin).

Best wishes,
Laura

(on top of refusing the push of Christmas back to back with Thanksgiving, I'm just not yet mentally prepared for all that the season entails! I need a little prep time...)

Although I'm not big on Black Friday type shopping, one thing I've found in favor of trying to shop early (i.e., November) is that it frees me up to enjoy more of the rest of the Christmas season in December...plus I beat the crazy crowds. :)

One of my particular holiday gripes is how so many people in the U.S. consider the holiday "over" at midnight on Christmas (i.e., radios stop playing Christmas music). I prefer a gentler slope down from Christmas (grin), celebrating the 12 days of Christmas. Happily, our church sings Christmas music until Epiphany!

Best wishes,
Laura
