Obama Plans to Be President for "8 to 10 Years"

Hello?

Where's the press who teased Dan Quayle mercilessly?

And talk about presumptuous...Obama states regarding his foreign trip: "The objective of this trip was to have substantive discussions with people like President Karzai or Prime Minister Maliki or President Sarkozy or others who I expect to be dealing with over the next eight to 10 years. And it's important for me to have a relationship with them early, that I start listening to them now, getting a sense of what their interests and concerns are."

Sir, you're not President yet.

For more on the trip, check out Ed Morrissey's post about Obama's strange choice for his campaign stop in Germany.

Gaffes aside, I think this comment also perfectly demonstrates Obama's attitude towards leadership. It's more important for him to meet with other leaders so he can "listening to them now, getting a sense of what their interests and concerns are"
He doesn't do that with American citizens. To him the opinion of the elite or of foreign leaders are much more important.
My problem is that there are so many warning signs about this guy out there, what will it take for more people to really see him as the Elmer Gantry that he really is?

loophole, this comment also perfectly demonstrates Obama's attitude towards... himself! He holds himself in such a smugly high regard that this Freudian slip reveals that its not that he would have 10 years to listen to Americans but Americans would have 10 years to to listen to *him*! heh.

Love that "Elmer Gantry" line!

I can hardly bear to watch the news the coverage is so outrageous...as if this buffoon is already President!
