Pushing Daisies Gets the Ax

Sad faces in our house today for the fans of PUSHING DAISIES.

I've yet to see the show -- I often spend weeknights working -- but this series was loved by my daughters especially. The Season 1 DVD set is on my younger daughter's Christmas wish list.

Season 2 will end up being 13 episodes. Hopefully that's enough for a DVD release so fans can own the entire series.

I feared this was going to happen after the low ratings for Wednesday night's episode. I also hope we get a DVD from it. I'm also upset that the story line may be kept hanging which is a real shame.

Look at the picture you posted and it just screams quality. This shows production value was top notch as were the stars and the whole quirkiness of the program.

Tell your daughters I mourn with them :(

Of course this show would be canceled. It met all the necessary criteria: smartly written, clever plot line, quick repartee, imaginative sets, spectacular colors, (superb aesthetics overall), and very well acted. What's not to cancel?

:( :(. And it even had Kristin Chenoweth singing on occasion. It's a sad day in TV land. I wonder if there's any chance a cable channel would pick it up.

I was interested that the creator plans to continue the stories via comic books.

Best wishes,
Laura
